I hate men! I don't know why I feel so strongly against men but lately I definitely do. It could be because my son's father and I do nothing but fight. It could be because my most recently ex-boyfriend is a liar and I can't trust him. It could be because all men only want one thing from a woman. It could be because all the good guys are either taken or gay (which is not their fault). Maybe it's a mix of everything but I'm definitely hating on men a lot lately! I would love to have a positive outlook toward men but I think I'm entire to jaded! Who knows! Maybe it will pass in time or with any luck I will find someone who is perfect for me.

Last night a friend and I were thinking of what to make for dinner.....FRIED PICKLES! Don't judge; it sounded good at the time. Let me just state for the record they were amazing & so easy to make too!

Deep-Fried Pickles with Honey-Mustard Dipping Sauce

Ingredients
HONEY-MUSTARD SAUCE:
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons honey
PICKLES:
Vegetable oil for frying
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup cornmeal
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
48 slices bread and butter pickles (from a 16-ounce jar)

Directions
For the sauce, in a small bowl, stir together all the sauce ingredients until smooth. (The dipping sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to use.)
For the pickles, in a heavy pot, heat 2 inches of oil to 350*F. Put the flour in one bowl, the beaten eggs in a second bowl, and the cornmeal in a third bowl; season the flour and cornmeal with salt and pepper.
Dip the pickles first in the flour, shaking off the excess; dip into the beaten egg, then dredge in the cornmeal to coat. Lay on a baking sheet. When all the pickles are coated, fry them in batches in the hot oil about 30 seconds or until brown. Using a slotted spoon, transfer fried pickles a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Serve pickles hot with honeymustard sauce for dipping.

Hey everyone....I know it's been a really long since I've blogged anything! I've been super busy with work and My DSB and I have our own place to live. It's a super cute apartment that I am so proud of! I also have had an actual job since Feb @ Panera Bread. Which was one the greastest things ever because.....I met my new boyfriend there! He is super, super sweet and I like him alot! I know it doesn't seem like a lot but it's a lot to me....

SO! What has everyone else been up to? I have to know because it has been nearly forever!

My friend and I were sitting around watching 'A Baby Story' on TLC, talking about when we had our babies and I mentioned that when I had my son my aunt took pictures for me! Yes, I wanted these pictures too.... She asked if she could see them and I gladly showed her. While we were flipping through I came across a picture that I LOVE so much!

The moment the nurse handed me my baby I started bawling! He was and of course still is perfect and I knew my life had changed forever! That was hands down the greatest moment of my life!!!

Haven't done this in a while so I figured "Why not?". Today I am going to share a picture of My Dirty Stinky Boy and one of his BEST BEST friends (Fatty Mc FatFat).

The other day we had them playing in the kiddie pool at my Aunt's house and Fatty started splashing water everywhere and I looks on My DSB's face were priceless. It was just "too cute"!

The BIGGEST scare of my life....

....SO FAR!!!

First off let me start off by telling you that My Dirty Stinky Boy had gone to bed very early the night before (6:30pm). Come 3:30am he was up and wanting to eat. I went into the kitchen made him a bottle, came back & fed him. He went back to sleep with NO problems. Now come 6 o'clock in the morning he's ready to start the day (because he went to bed so early). I'm trying my hardest to get him to go back to sleep for at least another hour....no such luck! He has been playing in his crib for almost an hour now. At about 6:45 I hear a loud bang then blood curdling screams!!!! My first thought was that he had fallen out of the crib (I have a daredevil who pulls himself up & likes to look over the side of the crib). HE DID NOT! I jump out of bed, look around (in the dark), grab him out of his crib, turn the light on & I see IT! BLOOD!!!!! There is blood all over my poor, defenseless, innocent baby's face (and somehow on the side of his head). I woke up my brother to help me hold him so I could see what's going on. I wipe off his head - nothing there thank God! I start wiping his face - no cuts, gashes or anything. Then he drools blood...I can deal with that! He fell, hit his lip and that was it. Nothing serious but it WAS the scariest moment of my life so far!!!!

Completely turned upside down to tell the truth! I know it has been a while since I have posted ANYTHING but I have very good reasoning (not that I have to explain myself).

The first this that totally took my life for a spin is that there was a tremendous lost in my family. One of my "cousins" died in a car accident on May 21st. He and I were not extremely close but while I was pregnant and after I had My Dirty Stinky Boy we kept getting closer and closer. He was only 21 years old and there was still so much more he wanted to do with his life and so much he had to offer. We are all still taking it very hard but it's only natural that it take a while to totally cope with something like this.

The second thing is that "My Fisherman" and I are no longer together and I am living back at my father's house. With all that was going on with losing my cousin I wasn't home very much. I was spending pretty much every waking moment with my family. That just caused a lot of unneeded stress between the two of us and a huge fight broke out and that was that! He and I still talk and he gets My Dirty Stinky Boy every weekend....

Like I said - MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!!! I am trying to get back into the swing of things....blogging included!

Just got this recipe of the Captain Morgan site and I so want to try it! I love rum and pineapple juice and this is so similar....

Ingredients
1.5 oz. Captain Morgan ® Parrot Bay ® Pineapple Rum
5 oz. orange juice
1 slice orange

Preparation
- Add Captain Morgan ® Parrot Bay ® Pineapple Rum and orange juice in ice-filled glass and stir well
- Garnish with orange slice

I love how guys say they will never do anything cosmetic (even plucking eyebrows) to change their look and then things like this happen...

The other night M and I were hanging out at my aunt's and she was doing my cousin Jackie's eyebrows. We all started talking about how Charlie needs to do something with his. Now, all of his girl friends have tried to get him to agree to them fixing "those bushes" for him but he was not having it! Guess he trusts my friend more than his....HeHe!!

....and say hi! This week has been a little much between My Dirty Stinky Boy being sick (we are back at the doctor's office again today) and trying to train for this marathon in October. It's hard to get on here and update. Hope everyone is doing good!

I got this idea from a blog called Adventures in Extreme Parenting who got it from Magically Ordinary and I thought it would be soooooo fun! So here it goes....

A - Attitude: I try to keep a good but it gets hard sometimes especially if there is a lot going on.

B - Bed Size: Queen, My Fisherman had a small futon before I moved in and this works out so much better.

C - Chore: Laundry, I can put in in the washer then into the dryer all day but when it comes to hanging and folding I hate that part.

D - Dog or Cat?: To tell the truth I don't really like either. If I HAD to pick one I would say dog because I have My Dirty Stinky Boy and I think every little boy needs a dog!

E - Exercise: Do I do it? No. Should I? Yes! I am going to do a marathon (half) in October so I have to get back into shape and start walking.

F - Favorite Animal: It's more of an insect; I love butterflies!

G - Greatest Achievement: Giving birth to my beautiful baby boy

H - Height: 5 feet 6 inches and I can't wear heals without looking like a sasquatch.

I - Instrument I Wish I Could Play: Nothing, I really never had the desire to join band; chorus on the other hand is a different story! I love to sing!

J - Job: I am currently unemployed but at the moment you could say my job is stay-at-home mom.

K - Kids: I have one sweet little boy (My Dirty Stinky Boy) who will be 14 weeks old tomorrow.

L - Living Arrangements: Live in a house with My Fisherman, My Dirty Stinky Boy, Nana (My Fisherman's mother), Papa (My Fisherman's father) and Calypso (a bird)

I took this picture over the weekend while visiting with my aunt. Little Princess said she wanted to lay down and take a nap with My Dirty Stinky Boy (Baby G). None of us thought she really would but next thing you know we walk in to check on her and she was out like a light!

MANIC Monday....

Actually it's been a CRAZY weekend!

- Friday we had to get packed and out of the house to go down south for My Fisherman's niece's comformation.

- Saturday we all (11 people including My DSB) had to be up early to be at the church by 9:30am.

- Before leaving for church I went out to my car only to find that my wallet was stollen (must have forgetten to lock the door).

- It took 2 hours to get a hold someone at the bank to put a block on my accounts.

- After we left the church we all had to rush over to a friend's restaraurant for a luncheon to celebrate.

- I have to get a new lisence, registration & insurance card.

- Driving without a lisence is SCARY - Let me tell you!

I could go on but I will spare you....Hope everyone else had a good weekend!

It's that time again and today I am going to share with you a drink that I have been CRAVING!

Ruby Tuesdays Ruby Relaxer

I am really not a Vodka fan but I LOVE THIS DRINK! It is so good and it really refreshing too. Simple enough to make at home too....
-- 1 shot Peach Schnapps
-- 1 shot Vodka
-- 1 shot Coconut Rum
-- Pineapple Juice
-- Cranberry Juice
Combine peach schnapps, vodka and malibu rum in a cocktail glass. Almost fill with pineapple juice, add a splash of cranberry juice, and serve.

October of last year is when this video was taken using My Fisherman's iPhone. The kids and I where all in Ky's room LATE at night (needless to say my Aunt wasn't home) and they wanted to listen to music. Pookie brought in his little boom box and put in the 'Shrek Karaoke Dance Party' CD and this is how it turned out.....

Like I said not a specific song but it is about music and what made these kids move that night!

Rum & Pineapple Juice

Yeah, I know that's not my actual drink but I so wasn't thinking about taking a picture of it. It wasn't that pretty anyway! My drink was made with Bacardi Coconut Rum & Dole Pineapple Juice. My favorite rum is Cruzan Rum (love all the flavors) but a girl will take what's available to her.

Today picture is of My Fisherman's nephew and one of his cousins. We were hanging out at a birthday party and these two were having a staring contest and it was just too cute! These two are attached at the hip at all times and I love to see that. When two kids are so close all they wanna do is spend time together - I'm so glad that there are other babies around that are close (both older and younger) in age to My Dirty Stinky Boy that he can be close with!

Today My Dirty Stinky Boy had his 2 month check-up with the pediatrician and I can believe how big he is getting! When he was born he was 6lbs 7oz & 19in - That's pretty average but now he's 10lbs 6oz & 23in! He hasn't doubled yet but he's pretty darn close!
